Job summary

The role involves coordinating 504 accommodations, implementing attendance interventions, crisis response, and providing social-emotional interventions in collaboration with families and staff; travel within the district may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, or a closely related field.
• License as a School Social Worker by MDE.
• Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs special education due process related duties; acts as IEP team designee; facilitates meetings and completes paperwork.
• Provides direct social/emotional services; evaluates students with suspected disabilities.
• Contacts parents regarding meetings and due process rights; conducts interviews and responds to questions.
• Provides social/emotional interventions; collaborates with staff on supports and strategies.
• Coordinates with community mental health providers and case managers.
