Job summary

Dedham Public Schools District Wide is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Health Services to provide districtwide leadership during a transitional period.

The role will ensure high-quality, safe, and compassionate health services across all school buildings while maintaining DESE and DPH regulatory compliance, leading nurse recruitment and mentorship, managing state grants, and optimizing daily operations to support student wellness and academic success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts.
• Active DESE School Nurse License or eligibility.
• 3–5 years of school nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
• CPR/AED Instructor or Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure districtwide compliance with DESE regulations and DPH mandates.
• Oversee grant management and budgeting for health services.
• Direct and schedule nursing staff to ensure daily licensed nurse coverage in all buildings.
• Lead onboarding and mentorship for new nursing staff and substitutes.
• Plan summer/fall health coverage and staffing contingencies for anticipated needs.
