Job summary

Community Unit School District 300 seeks a School Speech-Language Pathologist to support district-wide services. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE position for the 2026-2027 school year, focused on compliance, IEP needs, and group services in the building.

The ideal candidate holds Illinois licensure with SLP endorsements and will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective speech-language programs for students across grades.

Qualifications

  • Illinois licensure with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement(s) required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and provide services for children with communication disorders.
  • Maintain accurate, complete records as required by law and district policy.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on appropriate committees.
  • Screen kindergarten students and new to Illinois students to identify those needing diagnostic testing.
  • Conduct speech-language case study evaluations.
  • Interpret test findings and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Develop IEPs for students placed in speech-language therapy.
  • Collaborate with staff and participate in district meetings for program improvement.
  • Refer students for appropriate services and follow up on referrals.
  • Assist teachers in observing and referring suspected speech-language impairments.
