Job summary

ProCare Therapy invites a district-wide School Psychologist to support a K-12 program across multiple campuses. The role starts ASAP with summer hours before the school year begins, and includes a robust full-time benefits package.

The successful candidate will conduct psychoeducational evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, provide counseling and crisis intervention, and guide staff and families on accommodations, while maintaining thorough documentation across a large caseload.

Qualifications

• Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure for New York State.
• Experience supporting K-12 students across diverse settings.
• Strong background in psychoeducational assessment and intervention planning.
• Extensive knowledge of IEP development and special education processes.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate with staff, students, and families.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations across grade levels.
• Interpret assessment results, develop recommendations, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Deliver counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention for students with diverse needs.
• Guide staff and families on behavioral supports and student accommodations.
• Serve as a resource for compliance, best practices, and legal requirements in special education.
• Support a positive, inclusive school climate through data-driven advocacy and mental health initiatives.
