Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District 48 Transportation is seeking a Bus Driver to operate a school bus, van, or other motorized vehicle for student transport. Responsibilities include safety checks, monitoring student behavior, and completing incident reports.

Requirements include High School Diploma or GED, valid Arizona driver’s license for 5 years, and CDL with P and S endorsements. The role is non-exempt, 6 hours per day, with an hourly rate of $20.78–$21.62.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License for 5 years.
• CDL with P and S endorsements required.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within 30 days of employment.
• Knowledge of customer service principles, first aid practices, and safe driving principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe loading and unloading of students, including equipment for students with special needs.
• Drive a school bus, van, or other vehicle to transport students to destinations and events.
• Maintain attendance records, seating charts, and disciplinary documentation; communicate via radio dispatch.
