Job summary

Breathitt County Schools is seeking a District Wide Therapy Assistant to support occupational therapy services across the district. The role combines clerical duties with assisting therapists in implementing treatment programs for students.

Responsibilities include maintaining student records, communicating with parents and staff, and helping with home programs and equipment. Must hold CPR/First Aid and Kentucky OTA licensure, and work requires collaboration with a diverse school community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in physical or occupational therapy work.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Candidates must be able to maintain confidential student records.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties and assist with therapy programs for therapists.
• Check-in, weigh and measure patients and complete forms.
• Assist therapists with therapy activities for children and adapt equipment as needed.
• Maintain confidential medical charts and progress notes.
• Communicate with parents and school staff about home programs and equipment.
• Ensure proper operation of medical and therapy equipment and safety protocols.
