Job summary

The St. Charles School District R-6 is seeking a Full-Time Floating Custodian to maintain cleanliness and security across district facilities. This role requires the ability to lift 75 pounds and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, handling minor repairs, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Starting salary is $15.60 per hour, with health benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year successful prior experience in custodial work (preferred).
• Ability to lift at least seventy-five (75) pounds.
• Able to climb at least a six (6') foot ladder.

Responsibilities

• Maintains regular attendance.
• Cleans and preserves designated spaces, equipment, etc. in the building.
• Scrubs, mops, disinfects, and polishes hard-surfaced floors as required.
• Reports any vandalism or damage to school property.
• Assumes responsibility for the security of the building.
