Job summary

Onslow County Schools seeks a Parent Family and Community Engagement Coach for the 2026-2027 school year in Jacksonville, NC. The role reports to the Director of Federal Programs and opens until filled.

The position requires coordinating district-wide parent engagement events, fostering community partnerships, and supporting Title I initiatives. A NC teaching license is preferred, with Spanish skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina teaching license.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.
• 2 or more years in a related position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a district-wide parent and family engagement plan with site leaders.
• Plan and lead district-wide family engagement events (e.g., literacy nights, back-to-school fairs).
• Coordinate policies to promote relationships between schools, families, and community.
• Provide regular parental support and engagement activities at district and site levels.
• Collaborate with Communications to engage parents and communities.
• Implement and monitor family engagement programs across Title I schools.
• Support Title I sites in creating welcoming school environments and tours.
• Guide outreach to inform families, businesses, and the community about involvement opportunities.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with community organizations and agencies.
• Support Title I families to connect with schools and resources.
