Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you will support pharmacy operations across the district, working under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader to cover scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams.

The responsibilities include:

1. Supporting safe and effective patient care through dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Traveling within the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, acting as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts.
3. Ensuring adherence to pharmacy workflow procedures and safety protocols.
4. Assuming the Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
5. Providing compassionate patient care, coaching pharmacy staff, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
6. Supporting immunization efforts and inventory management, including cold chain products.
7. Remaining adaptable to scheduling and business needs, maintaining clinical skills, and expanding knowledge to support patient care.
8. Supporting clinical services such as testing and prescribing where permitted, and complying with all relevant laws and policies.

Qualifications include being at an entry-level seniority, part-time employment, and functioning within the healthcare provider industry.
