Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you will support our pharmacy teams by covering pharmacist scheduling gaps, under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL). Your responsibilities include:

1. Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
2. Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, overseeing the pharmacy, and acting as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts.
3. Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety protocols.
4. Assuming Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
5. Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance or medication issues.
6. Proactively offering immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization procedures.
7. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with a focus on cold chain products.
8. Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment.
9. Maintaining clinical and technical skills through ongoing training and education.
10. Supporting access to care via pharmacist-delivered clinical services, where permissible.
11. Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure patient safety and workplace safety.
