Job summary

BFS Foods seeks a District Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of its convenience stores in the Wheeling area. You will coordinate reports, payroll, and staff performance while ensuring retail standards and margins. This is a full-time role with escalation duties as needed and significant leadership responsibilities.

The position requires managing multiple stores, coordinating with General Managers, and driving sales through effective merchandising and expense control at a 50-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of store management experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple locations in a retail / convenience store environment.
• Strong leadership and payroll responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather, verify, and submit accurate daily store reports.
• Complete, review and submit payroll and personnel transaction records in an accurate and timely basis.
• Monitor and analyze employee hours to determine cause for fluctuation.
• Recruit, select, develop, supervise, and evaluate store employees in partnership with General Manager.
• Review invoices from vendors to ensure accurate quantities and billing.
• Monitor and maintain gross margins by marketing and merchandising.
• Assume responsibilities for store manager when needed.

Basic Function

The district supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing, troubleshooting, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the convenience stores for which he/she is responsible for.

Essential Functions

• a. Gather, verify, and submit accurate daily store reports.
• b. Complete, review and submit payroll and personnel transaction records in an accurate and timely basis.
• c. Monitor and analyze employee hours to determine cause for fluctuation.
• d. In conjunction with General Manager; recruit, select, develop, supervise, and evaluate store employees.
• e. Review invoices received from vendors to ensure accurate quantities received and accurate billing.
• f. Monitor and maintain acceptable gross margins by marketing and merchandising.
• g. Monitor and maintain proper expense dollars in all controllable categories.
• h. Assume responsibilities for store manager whenever the need arises

Qualifications

3 years store management experience

The District Manager position is a full time salary position based on a 50 hour regular workweek. As a District Manager, it may be necessary to for you to work above scheduled hours.
