Job summary

The Anamosa Community School District is seeking a visionary Superintendent to lead a dynamic K-12 system in Iowa. The successful candidate will direct educational programs, manage district operations, and work collaboratively with the Board to implement strategic plans that support student achievement and community engagement.

They will oversee budgeting, facilities, and compliance, while maintaining strong public relations with staff, families and local partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's and Master's in education administration or higher.
Experience leading school districts or equivalent roles.
Strong knowledge of educational policy, budgeting, and governance.
Excellent communication with boards, staff, students, and community.

Responsibilities

Act as Chief Executive Officer of the school district to guide educational programs.
Advise the Board on policy needs and ensure implementation of policies.
Prepare recommendations for Board actions with data and reports.
Oversee budget development and financial controls for the district.
Lead district facilities, operations, and resource management.
Represent the district in meetings with external stakeholders.
