JOB DUTIES:

• Perform the classroom duties of an absent teacher.
• Prepare and execute a course of study as prepared by Classroom Teacher, Building Administrator.
• Manage the classroom so that curriculum guidelines/requirements are fulfilled.
• Lecture, demonstrate, and use appropriate teaching aids to present subject matter to the students.
• Prepare, administer and/or correct assignments and tests.
• Record grades, attendance, academic achievement.
• Assist as directed by the building administration (Including clerical, cafeteria, bus duty, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting, college or university or complete 20 hours of online training via Frontline Education.
• Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Must hold a Valid Content Substitute Certificate at the time of hire.
• Must pass the pre-employment background investigation.

Length of work year: 8 hours per day; 5 days/week; 187 work days
