Job summary

Bagel Brands is seeking a General Manager in New Haven for development within a home bakery location and potential relocation across the market. This role emphasizes leadership, training, and ensuring top-notch food quality and safety.

The GM-in-development will coach teams, manage inventory and cash, and work toward P&L targets while maintaining a safe, clean environment and representing the brand with excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work varied hours including early hours and weekends, starting as early as 3am.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license.
• Complete ServSafe Certification program by end of GM development plan if not already certified.
• Minimum 30 hours per week.
• Expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations within the market.
• Expected to accept a permanent GM promotion within the market when available; specific location not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a targeted General Manager development plan.

• Progress toward taking ownership of a bakery as General Manager when a position becomes available.
