Job summary

South Lane School District's Cottage Grove High School in Cottage Grove, Oregon is seeking a District Nurse (RN) to coordinate health services, develop health protocols, and provide essential school health care.

The position offers 6 or 8 hours per day (to be determined), starting immediately, with responsibilities including health screenings, immunization compliance, and collaboration with staff, families, and medical partners to support students’ learning and well-being.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oregon.
• CPR certification required.
• School nurse endorsement preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized school nursing care and staff training.
• Deliver health services, screenings and health education in schools.
• Develop Health Management Plans for students with disabilities.
• Coordinate immunization compliance and disease outbreak response.
• Communicate with medical community and district leadership.
• Maintain health rooms and manage supplies.
• Adhere to licensing requirements and safety procedures.
• Attend to attendance and other duties as assigned.
