Job summary

Escondido Union High School District is seeking a District School Nurse to research, develop and implement health services programs across the district, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

The role leads nursing staff, delivers mandated health services and testing, conducts in-services, and coordinates with special education to meet students' health needs; requires a California School Nurse Services Credential, a valid RN license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in nursing or related field.
Experience coordinating school health services and programs.
Ability to support staff training and health-related education.

Responsibilities

Oversee district student health services program as medical consultant to school nurses.
Provide mandated student health services and testing.
Provide in-services and staff development in health related areas.
Plan school health program with administrative staff.
Respond to site emergencies and coordinate with stakeholders.
Train site nurses to serve special needs students.
