Job summary

Gruma Corporation in Portland, OR, seeks an experienced Route Sales Manager to lead customer relations and district sales efforts. You will coordinate cross-functional sales activities, grow accounts, and help shape sales plans to achieve targets.

The role requires 2–5 years in route sales, a BA/related degree, and 50% travel. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid driver’s license and strong negotiation skills are essential.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and 2 - 5 years in sales management (DSD / Route Sales) experience. *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered forthe above.

• Experience in route sales in the grocery industry is preferred.
• Ability to negotiate effectively and influence others.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral presentations and in writing.
• Ability to make decisions that effectively impact the business.
• Work requires a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of DSD systems.
• 50% travel by auto/vehicle to customer stores and meetings.
• Work requires the use of computers for email, report generation, and general correspondence.
• Work requires lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must live in the geographic area to ensure a reasonable commute and access to customers in the assigned district.
• Candidates must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check, as applicable for the role.

Salary range $83,000 to $84,900 plus 15% Discretionary Bonus, Car Benefit, and a Full Benefit Packet including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life insurance and AD&D Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts. Additionally, we offer a 401(k) plan with matching. Vacation Pay and 8 Paid Holidays.
