McKee Foods, America’s favorite family bakery since 1934, is seeking a District Sales Representative to drive sales growth across the Waycross, Jesup, Brunswick region and surrounding Georgia markets. You will collaborate with independent wholesale distributors and retailers, build strong business relationships, and represent our Little Debbie and Drake’s brands in the marketplace.

This role reports to the sales leadership, requires 40+ hours weekly, some travel, and a salary of $79,500–$90,700

Qualifications

• Minimum of one to two years of post‑high school education or equivalent experience.
• Three years of retail management or sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to travel extensively within or outside of the assigned district.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster sales growth through collaboration with independent wholesale distributors and retailers.
• Cultivate strong business relationships with distributors and retailers.
• Act as a liaison between McKee Foods, wholesale independent distributors, and retailers.
• Motivate existing wholesalers to expand sales.
• Recruit and appoint competent candidates to distributorships.
• Provide orientation for new distributors and communicate best business practices.
• Manage and develop a company sales territory as necessary.
• Ensure daily operation and maintenance of a company vehicle.
• Serve as a professional representative of McKee Foods in the marketplace.

Job Summary

We are looking for a District Sales Representative to drive sales growth in your assigned district. You will collaborate with independent wholesale distributors and retailers, foster relationships, and identify lucrative sales opportunities. You will serve as the face of McKee Foods, motivating and supporting wholesale distributors, and ensuring the success of our products in the marketplace.

Location and Coverage

The central location and ideal residency for the incumbent is in or around Waycross, Jesup or Brunswick, GA. District coverage includes Waycross, Brunswick, Baxley, Kingsland, Hinesville, and Folkston, GA.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 40+ hours (start the day early, often prior to sunrise).

Pay

Salary: Salaried grade 8 $79,500 – $90,700 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one to two years of post‑high school education or equivalent experience
• Three years of retail management or sales experience
• Previous customer service experience across diverse situations
• Capable of lifting and moving up to 25 pounds
• Ability to draw conclusions from data, prepare and deliver sales presentations
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience in establishing strong business relationships
• High level of initiative, self‑motivation and independence with a goal‑oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and mobile technology
• Willingness to travel extensively within or outside of the assigned district
• Ability to operate a box truck weighing more than 10,000 pounds when needed
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• High level of personal integrity and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in a business‑related field
• Three years of sales experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) and/or Direct Store Delivery (DSD) industry
• Proven experience in making sales calls with retailers (store level and headquarters)
• Ability to complete a DOT physical examination
