Job summary

Van Eerden Foodservice is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to develop and maintain a profitable sales route by selling and servicing existing customers, opening new accounts, and increasing sales volume in the Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Paw Paw regions of Michigan.

You will build professional relationships with owners, purchasing directors, and chefs, coordinating with vendors and brokers, and sample products to demonstrate offerings while managing receivables and ensuring timely cash

Qualifications

• Strong Foodservice Distribution Sales experience (required).
• Willing to prospect and close sales.
• Excellent driving record.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a profitable sales route by selling and servicing existing customers.
• Open new accounts and increase existing sales volume.
• Manage accounts receivable and ensure cash receipts and deposits follow company policy.
• Service Michigan communities in Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Paw Paw regions.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Consultant who will be responsible for developing and maintaining a profitable sales route by selling and servicing existing customers, opening new accounts, and increasing existing sales volume. Duties include: maintain a professional relationship with current and prospective customers by meeting with them one on one, utilizing company specialists, vendors, and brokers and sampling of products to provide and demonstrate available products to customers, manage account receivables for all customer accounts and ensure cash receipts and deposit slips are handled according to Company policy. This position will service the Michigan communities in the Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Paw Paw Michigan regions.

Starting Pay $65,000 to $85,000

The right candidate for this position will have:

• A strong desire to sell and work on a commission basis

This Career Opportunity is in Foodservice selling to the Hospitality Industry in the Southwest Michigan area.We are looking for an individual who has sold to owners, purchasing directors, and chefs of medium to large businesses.
