This role involves overseeing a group of Territory Managers (TMs) responsible for selling and promoting the company's products and services. The position requires using product, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence and assist customers, leading to revenue generation. Responsibilities include directing TMs in closing sales, penetrating existing accounts, acquiring new accounts, and developing within a specified district. The role also involves coaching, mentoring, and training TMs to achieve sales and growth objectives.
Key duties include leading TMs to meet division sales, penetration, and churn reduction goals; developing sales plans; coaching TMs in lead management and account development; managing budgets and expenses; coordinating sales strategies and market research; and utilizing sales tools and processes to grow revenue.
The role also encompasses recruiting, training, and evaluating TMs, overseeing performance, maintaining industry knowledge, developing customer relationships, and ensuring company policies are followed. Additional responsibilities include supporting customer delivery alignment and managing staffing to minimize turnover.
Qualifications required are a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field, along with at least five years of foodservice sales experience and two years of supervisory experience. Skills needed include problem solving, negotiation, excellent communication, customer service, presentation abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and candidates with recent DUI convictions are ineligible.
This position may require overnight travel for training and meetings. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
