Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to help cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across stores in the district and to support pharmacy teams under the Pharmacy Manager and District Leader. You will travel to stores to oversee operations, ensure safe dispensing, and maintain patient-centered service.

You will lead immunization delivery, counseling, inventory management, and regulatory compliance while fostering compassionate care and collaboration with the patient care team.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Contribute to patient safety through accurate prescription labeling and dispensing.
• Support pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager during day-to-day duties when on duty.
• Coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and resolve patient insurance/medication issues.
• Deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization processes.
• Manage inventory with focus on cold chain integrity.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
