Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to support pharmacy teams district-wide. You will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, supervise pharmacy operations under the Pharmacy Manager, and ensure safe dispensing and patient care.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Willingness to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing.
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
Ability to complete required trainings within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Travel district to fill pharmacist shifts; oversee pharmacy operations as proxy for Pharmacy Manager.
Support safe prescription fulfillment, follow workflow procedures, and protect patient safety.
Assist during Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties as needed.
Deliver empathetic, compassionate care and assist the pharmacy team with patient insurance/medication issues.
