Job summary

Jefferson Township Local School District is seeking a School Business Manager to oversee non-instructional business and operational functions, reporting to the Superintendent. The role coordinates with the Treasurer and district leadership to ensure resources, facilities, contracts, and systems are efficiently managed in compliance with policy and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business/administration, education, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in business operations, facilities, purchasing, finance, project management, or school operations.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to supervise employees and manage vendors and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate district business and operational functions with the Superintendent and Treasurer.
• Monitor expenditures, assist with budget development, forecasting, purchasing, and controls.
• Ensure purchases, contracts, PO's, invoices follow Board policy.
• Oversee maintenance, custodial, grounds, and facilities operations.
• Coordinate transportation and food service operational oversight.
• Maintain records for contracts, service agreements, and vendor performance.
• Collaborate with district leadership on safety, compliance, and reporting.
• Lead and supervise operational staff and manage staffing schedules.
