Job summary

Jefferson Township Local School District seeks a District Business Manager to lead the non-instructional operations, including business, facilities, transportation, food service, and contract management. You will partner with the Superintendent and Treasurer to drive cost efficiency and compliance across district operations.

The role requires strong leadership, fiscal oversight, and a focus on safe, efficient, and student-centered district services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business/related field or equivalent experience.
Experience in school district operations, facilities, purchasing, or finance.
Strong organizational, communication, and project-management skills.
Ability to supervise employees and manage vendors.
Proficiency with technology and business-management systems.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities.
Background checks (BCI and FBI) completed.

Responsibilities

Coordinate district business, operational, and financial functions with the Superintendent and Treasurer.
Oversee maintenance, custodial, grounds, and facilities operations.
Coordinate transportation operations and maintain related records.
Oversee food service operations and contract compliance.
Manage contracts, purchasing, and vendor performance.
Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and reporting requirements.
Lead and supervise operational staff and ensure accountability.
