Job summary

Elmwood Park Community Unit School District #401 is seeking a Network Administrator to support district-wide IT across multiple schools. You will troubleshoot LAN/WAN, servers, and endpoints, and help maintain the District's network and directory services.

The role requires at least 3 years of networking experience, a High School diploma or GED, and preferred associates plus various IT certifications. The position is 12 months with standard 7:30 AM–4:00 PM hours and flexible weekly scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with networking is required.
• Certifications preferred: MCDST, MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA A+, Server+, Google Certified Administrator, HP/Aruba Networks, Palo Alto Networks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, deploy and design the District's network infrastructure, including MDF/IDF design, switch/router configuration, end-to-end wiring troubleshooting, and wireless infrastructure.
• Setup, design and implement Network Backup Strategy with hardware/software installation and off-site storage.
• Maintain District's Directory Services; manage user accounts and access rights.
• Deploy, manage and maintain servers in a virtualized environment.
• Maintain TCP/IP networking structure, track IPs and monitor DHCP.
• Maintain Domain Controllers and DNS servers.
• Maintain Google services.
• Manage network security, including firewall appliance.
• Prepare, image, and coordinate mass roll-out of computers.
• Provide end-user support for deployed hardware (laptops, Chromebooks, desktops, projectors, printers).
• Diagnose and replace faulty equipment; liaise with vendors for warranty repairs.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
