Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a District Service Manager for our Seattle team. You will lead a multi-disciplinary service group including Account Managers and Technicians to drive service, repairs and energy solutions while achieving financial targets.

You will develop business plans, manage P&L over multi‑million dollars, and build strong partnerships with internal and external teams to meet quotas. A focus on safety and People-Centered Management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years related experience in the commercial HVAC service industry or parallel field.
• 10+ years of related experience preferred.
• 4+ years of people leadership experience both direct and indirect.
• Leadership experience in Service, Sales and Operations.
• Experience with financial statements and managing P&L over $5M.

Responsibilities

• Develop business plans, strategies and objectives to ensure quotas and financial plans are met or exceeded.
• Develop plans and align work and resources so that customer needs, contractual obligations, and service work is completed within timeframes and quality expectations.
• Manage district P&L and deliver on financial goals (revenue and operating income).
• Lead Account Managers enabling growth in service and repair, turnkey projects, building automation and energy solutions.
• Build and maintain rapport with internal and external partners to align sales objectives.
• Drive safety culture and People-Centered Management for the district.
• Provide leadership for the service team including Service Coordinators, Account Managers and Technicians.
• Coach and develop employees to maximize performance and potential.
• Recruit, interview, hire and train new employees for ongoing skill development.
• Solicit and apply customer feedback and manage assets and inventory.
• Ensure local office compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Location:

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop business plans, strategies and objectives to ensure quotas and financial plans are met or exceeded.

• Develop plans and align work and resources so that customer needs, contractual obligations, and service work is completed within appropriate timeframes and meets quality expectations.

• Manage district P&L and deliver on financial goals (revenue and operating income).

• Lead Account Managers enabling growth in service and repair, complex turnkey, building automation and energy solution projects.

• Build and maintain rapport with internal and external business partners, including Manufacturer's Reps, Equipment Sales Managers, National Accounts team, Solutions team to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved.

• Drive implementation of Daikin culture, including prioritization of safety and People-Centered Management, for the district.

• Provide leadership for the service team, including Service Coordinators, Account Managers, and Technicians.

• Coach and develop employees in order to maximize performance and potential.

• Manage performance through recognition, regular feedback, performance reviews and/or corrective action

• Recruit, interview, hire and ensure that training is provided for new employees to ensure that on-going training and skill development is encouraged and provided for all employees.

• Solicit and apply customer feedback (internal and external).

• Manage company assets and inventory to ensure proper cost control and operational efficiency.

• Ensure that the local office is compliant with all federal, state and local legal regulations and statutes, including prevailing wage, legal posting requirements, and safety regulations.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

• 6+ years related experience and/or training within the commercial HVAC service industry or parallel industry.

• 10+ years of related experience preferred.

• 4+ years of people leadership experience both direct and/or indirect.

• Leadership experience in Service, Sales, and Operations.

• Previous experience working with financial statements and managing P&L in excess of $5M.

The typical annual base salary for this position in Seattle, WA ranges from $140,00 - $230,000 plus a target sales incentive plan. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
