Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a District Service Manager in Raleigh, NC, to lead a multi-discipline service team and drive growth for complex projects including maintenance, repairs, and energy solutions. The role requires deep P&L experience and a track record of leading Account Managers and technicians to achieve revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years related experience in commercial HVAC service or parallel industry.
• 10+ years of related experience preferred.
• 4+ years of people leadership experience.
• Leadership experience in Service, Sales, and Operations.
• Experience with financial statements and managing P&L over $5M.
• H1/H2/H3 HVAC licensing preferred.

• Align work and resources so customer needs and obligations are met within timeframes and quality expectations.
• Manage district P&L and deliver on revenue and operating income goals.

Location: Raleigh, NC - In-office

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop business plans, strategies and objectives to ensure quotas and financial plans are met or exceeded
• Develop plans and align work and resources so that customer needs, contractual obligations, and service work is completed within appropriate timeframes and meets quality expectations
• Manage district P&L and deliver on financial goals (revenue and operating income)
• Lead Account Managers and the fulfillment team maturity enabling growth in service and repair, complex turnkey, building automation and energy solution projects
• Build and maintain rapport with internal and external business partners, including Manufacturer’s Reps, Equipment Sales Managers, National Accounts team, Solutions team to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved
• Drive implementation of Daikin culture, including prioritization of safety and People-Centered Management, for the district
• Provide leadership for the service team, including Service Coordinators, Account Managers, and Technicians
• Coach and develop employees in order to maximize performance and potential
• Manage performance through recognition, regular feedback, performance reviews and/or corrective action
• Recruit, interview, hire and ensure that training is provided for new employees to ensure that on-going training and skill development is encouraged and provided for all employees
• Include staff in planning and decision-making, and foster quality and process improvement focus on others
• Solicit and apply customer feedback (internal and external)
• Improve processes, products, and services
• Manage company assets and inventory to ensure proper cost control and operational efficiency
• Ensure that the local office is compliant with all federal, state and local legal regulations and statutes, including prevailing wage, legal posting requirements, and safety regulations

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years related experience and/or training within the commercial HVAC service industry or parallel industry
• 10+ years of related experience preferred
• 4+ years of people leadership experience
• Leadership experience in Service, Sales, and Operations
• Previous experience working with financial statements and managing P&L in excess of $5M
• H1, H2, and/or H3 HVAC Licensing, preferred

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,800 to $221,900 plus a target sales incentive plan in North Carolina. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
