Job summary

Family Dollar Operations LLC is seeking a District Manager to lead at least 15 store teams across the assigned area. You will drive profitability, customer service, and safety while coaching store managers and building a high-performing district.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and 5+ years of retail experience including 2+ years of multi-store leadership. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a District Manager to join our team to lead at least 15 store teams across the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Drive the success and profitability of stores while ensuring outstanding customer service and a safe, compliant work environment
• Oversee the execution of merchandising, operations, and expense control programs
• Lead, coach, and mentor store managers to meet and exceed business objectives
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, promoting teamwork and open communication
• Source, recruit, hire, and develop store managers within the district to build a high-performing team
• Drive sales, profitability, and expense management to meet company goals, as well as develop and fulfil short- and long-term objectives
• Implement established processes and programmes, ensuring operational consistency across the district
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance, conducting regular audits as needed
• Manage operational budgets and optimise store performance
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Champion a customer-first mindset across the district, setting high and consistent standards
• Travel up to 50% of the time with occasional overnight stays to support and oversee store operations across the district

Skills and Experience

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid Driver’s License is required
• At least 5 years retail experience with at least 2 years of multi-store experience is required
• Strong leadership and motivational skills along with the ability to build an effective team is required
• Ability to analyse, organise and present information and focus on results is required
