Job summary

Peet's Coffee Inc. is seeking a District Leader in Emeryville, CA to lead a team of Store Managers and Peetniks across multiple locations.

You will set clear expectations, coach for high performance and guide the district to achieve financial targets. You will drive execution of Peet’s Playbook, ensure top-tier customer service, store standards, and brand initiatives while developing leaders and maintaining strong relationships in the trade area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years multi-unit management experience in premium service or food industry.
• Proven ability to grow sales while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Experience recruiting and developing Assistant Store Managers to Store Managers.
• Ability to travel locally and nationally to support Peet's locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing district team of Store Managers and Peetniks.
• Implement Peet’s Playbook, policies, procedures and standards across the district.
• Drive profitable district results with sales, traffic and labor optimization.
• Ensure exceptional customer service, cleanliness, speed of service and drink quality.
• Oversee hiring, training and development, including succession planning.
• Travel locally and nationally to support stores and operational needs.

Job description

The District Leader’s core purpose is to build, lead and inspire a team to execute upon Peet’s service, quality and operational standards and to achieve all financial targets within the individual locations throughout their district. They are responsible for setting clear expectations for execution and building and developing a high-performing team of Store Managers and Peetniks.In addition to modeling Peet’s culture and values and following policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leadership:The District Leader is responsible for creating an engaged and high performing team through coaching and direction. This includes:Modeling Peet’s values, culture and leadership behaviorsSetting clear objectives and holding teams accountable to high performance expectationsRegularly providing constructive feedback and coaching to direct reportsCreating compelling development plans and career opportunities for direct reports and high potential leadersLeading and inspiring a rich culture of execution, training, development and high-performanceExecution:The District Leader is responsible for overall execution in their Coffeebars through daily operational excellence. This includes:Placing the right people in the right rolesEnsuring proper position training across the regionImplementing Peet’s Playbook (policies, procedures and operational standards) and maintaining a high level of execution against these standardsLeading the execution of product and brand initiativesDriving exceptional customer service including friendliness, cleanliness, speed of service and drink qualityMaintaining a working knowledge of the trade area to build relationships and drive revenuesResults:The District Leader is responsible for creating a profitable district where all productivity, sales, people and financial targets are met.
