Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, in Ohio, is seeking a District Manager in Training to learn how to oversee operations across multiple stores in partnership with Store Managers in your district. You will empower store leaders to create an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

The role involves developing leaders, analyzing district sales, managing inventory and payroll, recruiting and training new associates, and driving superior customer service. Travel up to 50% with overnight stays is required.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience required.
• Experience with merchandising required.
• Previous recruiting experience required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Develop store leaders that deliver shopping experiences that exceed customer expectations.
• Analyze district sales results and trends to increase sales.
• Maintain inventory mix and merchandise presentation to maximize sales in each store.
• Partner with store managers to recruit and train new associates.
• Foster the growth and development of associates into leadership roles.
• Manage payroll hours.
• Ensure Store Managers are maintaining cash control, including conducting regular store audits.
• Ensure Store Managers are managing inventory shrinkage appropriately and monitor shrinkage across your district.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure stores are professional, safe, respectful, and friendly environments.
• Develop meaningful relationships with the associates, leaders, and communities you serve.
• Travel up to 50% of the time with occasional overnight stays to support and oversee store operations across your district.
