Job summary

Riverview Gardens School District is seeking an internal staff member to serve as Performing Arts Coordinator for K-5. This role supports music curriculum, coordinates district-wide events, and collaborates with the Fine Arts department and school principals to promote instructional excellence.

Starting date is immediate; the position is part-time with a $5,000 annual stipend and requires K-5 music certification. Opportunities to work with Central Office and community partners are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Must have Music certification for K-5.
• Internal staff only; must be eligible to work in district.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead teachers in carrying out K-5 music curriculum through bi-monthly meetings and mentoring when needed.
• Collaborate with the Fine Arts department for scheduling district-wide events (e.g. Fine Arts Festival).
• Work with district admins to evaluate and develop K-5 music curriculum.
• Identify and create opportunities for professional development related to K-5 music education in cooperation with the PD Coordinator.
• Recruit and maintain certified music educators with principals and Central Office staff.
