Job summary

Valley View School District 365U is seeking a District Maintenance HVAC Technician to operate and maintain Trane Tracer EMS across the district. The role emphasizes troubleshooting complex systems, reading wiring diagrams and optimizing energy use while ensuring occupant comfort.

Responsibilities include responding to after-hours emergencies and supporting various mechanical systems, with overtime as needed. Candidates should have formal HVAC schooling and appropriate certification.

Qualifications

• HVAC technician with formal schooling and appropriate certification.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret HVAC control sequences.
• Good health and capacity to work overtime or night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Trane Tracer energy management system district-wide.
• Evaluate and modify HVAC control sequences to balance comfort and energy use.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, including motors, boilers, chillers and AHUs.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies for maintenance, security or alarms.
• Perform other duties aligned with the job classification when assigned.
