Washington Elementary School District is seeking a Finance Director/Manager to lead the Finance department and payroll functions in Glendale, AZ. This role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with AFR requirements, ensuring accurate records and timely close processes across district operations.

The position requires a strong background in fiscal administration, budgeting, and staff leadership within a school system.

Formación

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Five years of managerial, supervisory, or related experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and three years supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Three years of finance experience in a school system.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the Finance department and supervise payroll staff and district staff.
• Develops and maintains processes to monitor expenditures in compliance with AFR requirements.
• Plan staff development programs for Finance and Payroll to ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee the budgetary process and provide critical reports to decision makers.
• Coordinate District financial operations including levy and bond funds and financial reporting.
• Reconcile and maintain district bank accounts and supervise financial system training.
