AustinTexas is seeking a seasoned Utility Facility Supervisor to oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of power, steam, or district cooling systems. You will lead on-site staff, coordinate contractors, and drive reliability.

The role emphasizes safety, technical guidance, and incident investigation. You will plan maintenance, manage work orders, review bids, and ensure compliance with city codes and environmental requirements. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years of experience in installation, operation and/or maintenance in a utility facility, power, steam or chiller operation

Responsabilidades

• Supervise on-site utility staff, contractors, and vendors.
• Lead major repairs, construction and improvement projects.
• Coordinate utility facility, power, steam or chiller operations and maintenance to minimize impact; attend meetings as section representative.
• Oversee site safety program and investigate incidents.
• Provide technical advice to field personnel and contractors.
• Monitor operation and maintenance of electrical, HVAC, protection and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and recommend repairs or training to improve skills.
• Provide outage and clearance expertise to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
• Communicate with customers and monitor interdepartmental accountability.
• Analyze and resolve technical and operational problems.
• Develop and revise operating and maintenance procedures.
• Approve, order, and issue supplies; evaluate bids for services/equipment.
• Plan and schedule operations and maintenance; manage work orders and procurement; identify environmental issues.
• Coordinate with other divisions and emergency agencies during emergencies.
• Interpret and enforce city policies, codes, and specifications.
