Job Description

The Westside Consolidated School District is looking for a District Director of Technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, educational technology, education, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education, certifications, and relevant professional experience may be considered.
• Prior experience in technology administration, network management, systems support, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of network infrastructure, wireless systems, servers, device management, user accounts, cloud-based applications, and technology security.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including access controls, data protection, system backups, threat prevention, incident response, and disaster recovery.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage district-wide technology operations and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to develop short- and long-range technology plans and make recommendations regarding equipment, infrastructure, software, security, and replacement schedules.
• Ability to manage technology budgets, purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, contracts, and technology-related projects.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to administrators, teachers, staff, students, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to provide leadership, technical support, and professional development to employees with varying levels of technology knowledge and experience.
• Ability to evaluate technology needs and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions that support instructional and operational needs of the district.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, documentation, technology inventories, procedures, and system information.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately protect student, employee, and district data.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment and respond appropriately to technology emergencies, system outages, and changing priorities.
• Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with district employees and outside service providers.
• Must meet all district employment requirements, including required background screenings and drug testing.

Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may deem appropriate.

Salary will be commensurate with the board approved salary schedule.
