Job summary

Montgomery County Schools Central Office in Troy, NC, seeks a Chief Academic Officer (Federal Programs and CTE) to provide district-wide leadership for educational programs including CTE, Federal Programs, Student Services, and Curriculum and Instruction. Immediate starting date with Board of Education policy oversight and budget responsibility.

The CAO will lead and evaluate programs, ensure compliance with laws, communicate with parents and community, and report progress to the superintendent.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Administration; Doctorate preferred.
• NC Certification (Principal or Superintendent) required.
• Minimum of five years' experience as building or district administrator.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, supervise, and evaluate district programs and staff.
• Oversee Career and Technical Education, Federal Programs, and Curriculum.
• Develop goals and long-range plans; implement programs and services.
• Communicate with parents and community; present information to adults.
• Budget and fiscal management; oversight of department expenditures.
• Attend meetings and report program status to the superintendent.
