REPORTS TO: Food Service Director

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• must have high school diploma (or equivalent)
• must have the ability to work well with others as judged by Food Service Director
• must be physically able to lift minimum of 36 pounds
• must have the strength and dexterity to perform all labor tasks connected with job
• must have the ability to properly prepare food according to USDA standards
• must have successful experience working in food service
• must be self directed and learn required skills for the position
• must have a good attendance record
• must be able to demonstrate basic computer literacy
• must achieve a qualifying score on basic and specific skills test
• must complete all required personnel records
• meets all mandated health requirements
• a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
• complies with drug‑free workplace rules and board policies
• must be able to flex working schedules due to early and late lunch scheduling

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

• must be a positive voice with other staff members at all times
• must be prepared for change, even if it comes at a faster than desired pace
