Compass Group USA's Canteen division is seeking a District Accounting Manager for the San Antonio, TX area. The role supports payroll, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance while overseeing cash operations and accuracy of the general ledger.

You will help analyze financial statements, participate in forecast and budget modeling, and ensure internal controls across district operations. This position offers growth within a national foodservice organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits administration.
• Ability to analyze financial data and communicate results.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day HR payroll and benefits administration and regulatory compliance.
• Manage cash room and coordinate banking/armored car services.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable processes.
• Assist in weekly reporting and period-close activities.
• Support forecast and budget modeling and what-if scenarios.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle the day-to-day HR issues including but not limited to managing payroll andbenefit administration, training, FMLA/Worker’s Comp issues, andregulatory compliance staffing.
• Manage cash room and coordinate banking/armorer car services.
• Manage A/R and A/P processes
• Assist in theproduction of weekly reporting.
• Manage periodclose, ensure general ledger is accurately represented, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist inanalyzing financial statements for areas of profit improvement, recommend action.
• Assistwithforecast and budget modeling, evaluate what-if scenarios.
• Maintaininternal controls within District operation.
• Interactwithinternal and external auditors.
• Provideassistance with building maintenance management as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)andSAP.
• A minimum of fiveyears financial management experience, preferred.
• Ability to trackand measure financial data and communicate information upand down.
• Five to seven years of total experience.
