State of Ohio is seeking an experienced Master Mechanic for the District 4 Headquarters Garage in Akron, OH. This full-time position requires engine overhauls, on-the-job training of junior mechanics, and diagnosing electronic systems.

Qualifications

• 48 mos. exp. in repair & maintenance of variety of vehicles &/or agency-identified equipment; valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
• Or 24 months exp. as ODOT Mechanic, 52152; valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
• Final applicant selected will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to appointment to test for illegal drug use; CDL required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• You will perform major overhauls of gasoline and/or diesel engines.
• You will provide on-the-job training to lower-level ODOT mechanic(s).
• You will diagnose, troubleshoot, replace, and/or repair electronic systems.
