State of Ohio in Cadiz, OH is seeking an ODOT Mechanic or Master Mechanic at Harrison County Garage (PN 20055951). Full-time, union OCSEA. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs and keeping repair records. Must meet minimum qualifications for the mechanic classification and be prepared for a structured interview process.

The position is overtime eligible and offers comprehensive benefits, pension and growth opportunities within the department.

Qualifications

• 24 mos. exp. in automotive repair & maintenance of variety of vehicles &/or all types of equipment identified by agency; valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
• -Or 12 months as ODOT Mechanic Trainee, 52151; valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
• Valid Class A CDL without air brake restriction, with tanker endorsement must be obtained during probationary period & maintenance thereafter.

Responsibilities

• You will perform preventative maintenance and service on cars, trucks, and equipment.
• You will perform repairs or other related mechanical work.
• You will maintain records of repairs & maintenance.
