Distributor Operations Manager-Lubricants

Summary

CHS, Inc. is hiring for a Distributor Operations Manager to support our lubricants division. This role is responsible for overseeing CLT (Cenex Lubricants Terminal) operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and upholding quality standards for CENEX branded lubricants from supply to distribution. This role also involves collaborating with CLT distribution network and the member-owners to ensure timely deliveries, establishing and monitoring performance metrics, and supporting a key transformation project to optimize operational strategies and efficiencies.

This role is hybrid working 3 days/week in the Inver Grove Heights, MN office.

Responsibilities

Oversee the CLT distribution network:

  • Implementing operational policies, procedures, quality standards and, strategies at the CLTs to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Developing and tracking key performance indicators to assess network performance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Supporting quality audits.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams like Technical Services, Operations, Customer Care, Credit, and others to tackle challenges and boost business growth.
  • Partnering with branded sales directors and district managers to maintain strong day-to-day relationships with CLTs.

Support the Senior Sales Manager in the CHS Distribution Project:
  • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in resolving challenges or roadblocks that arise in the project, working closely with the CLTs and other teams to find solutions.
  • Support relationship management with CLTs to ensure project alignment.

Support the Senior Sales Manager to transition a non-strategic brand within the portfolio to CENEX:
  • Gather data to compare competitor offerings and identify areas where CENEX can differentiate itself.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations, logistics) to ensure smooth integration into CENEX’s portfolio. Coordinate efforts and address potential challenges.
  • Support Sr. Sales Manager to communicate the transition effectively to customers and highlight benefits and clarify any concerns.

Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, business operations, or related field


Additional Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales or marketing experience preferred.
  • Energy, Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of working within a cooperative structure.
  • Experience setting operational guidelines and procedures and driving execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long-term projects through completion.
  • Experienced collaborator with proven ability to get various teams to work together on a common goal.
  • Marketing or Business development experience.
  • Intermediate level computer skills required in: PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Data Management.
  • Distributor/Co-op management experience
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
