Job summary

ECHO Incorporated in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to lead warehousing and distribution activities. You will supervise forklift operators, material handlers, and pickers, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment while enforcing safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of distribution/warehouse supervisory experience.
• Experience with LTL freight management and parcel shipments.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and KPIs.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Teams and WMS.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse staff including forklift operators and pickers.
• Schedule and manage warehouse team to meet fulfillment needs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with receiving adjustments.
• Oversee warehousing and distribution operations with policy enforcement.
• Ensure compliance with warehousing and shipping regulations.
• Maintain safety and security procedures.
• Inspect equipment and issue repair requisitions.
• Partner with recruiters to hire staff.
• Monitor daily pick/ship rates and coach staff.
• Overtime may be required, including weekends.
• Develop and implement new processes.

We are seeking a Distribution Supervisor for our Echo Incorporated Division in Phoenix AZ. Our new Supervisor must have that "roll up your sleeves and get the job done" mentality, while providing exemplary leadership and support to our distribution team.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervise various warehouse personnel including forklift drivers, material handlers, and pickers and packers.
• Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and integrity, work with receiving dept. to adjust inventory.
• Responsible for warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Works with corporate plant recruiter on selecting warehouse staff.
• Maintains daily pick, and ship rates as well as training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Overtime availability is required including weekends.
• Works with management to develop and implement new processes and procedures.

Job Experience/Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Distribution Warehouse Supervisor.
• Previous experience in LTL freight management as well as small parcel shipments.
• Expertise in warehouse procedures and best practices.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, WMS.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
• Leadership skills and ability to supervise staff.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 5 years of distribution/warehouse experience in a supervisory role.
• Forklift experience including cherry picker, double reach, and sit down forklift.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
