Distribution Center Opportunities

Our Distribution Centers are hiring full‑time associates for a variety of shifts. PetSmart offers four 10‑hour weekday shifts, or three 12‑hour weekend shifts. Shifts vary by location and may include shift differential pay.

Example shifts within the Distribution Center:

• Morning Shift: Monday – Thursday 5 am – 3:30 pm
• Afternoon/Evening Shift: Monday – Thursday 4 pm – 2:30 am
• Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday 5 am – 5:30 pm

Acknowledgement of Pay & Performance Programs

• Step increases: 6 pay increases over the first 24 months (4 in Year 1 and 2 in Year 2)

Role Overview

The Distribution Warehouse Custodian ensures the building is clean and safe for associates, supporting productivity, accuracy, and reliability across the distribution center.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Passion for pets and people; desire to grow a fulfilling career
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Apply basic instructions and procedures; respond to standard requests (written, oral, headset, walkie‑talkie)
• Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable alternating between standing, sitting, or walking for an entire shift (usually 10‑12 hours)
• Willing and able to operate powered industrial and mechanical equipment—including reach trucks, stand‑ups, dock stockers, and pushcarts (proper training and safety standards provided)
• Work in various temperatures and noise levels
