Mojave Foods Corporation, a subsidiary of McCormick & Company, Incorporated, is a nationwide manufacturer & distributor of Hispanic Consumer Products. We are seeking a Distribution Tech - 2nd shift located in Commerce, CA. This role reports to the Warehouse Team Manager.

With over $130 million in annual sales, Mojave Foods manufactures, markets, and distributes spices, seasoning mixes, condiments, and other flavorful products to the Hispanic community—retail outlets, food manufacturers, and foodservice businesses. Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Team Manager in Order Selection/Warehouse and/or a Crew Leader, this individual is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping all customer orders accurately and timely, using material handling equipment such as transporters and forklifts. Responsibilities include general warehouse duties like loading, inbound receiving, returns, organizing, put-away, replenishment, wrapping, push-offs, and order selection. The role involves accurate input and providing customers with required documentation and services. Additional duties include filling shorted orders, co-label order selection, export order selection, and inventory assistance. Participation in team meetings and completion of special projects are expected. The incumbent will be subject to temperature extremes, and overtime may be required on short notice.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assignments in one of the following activity groups: Order Selection, Replenishment, Inbound, Outbound, Returns, Organizer, Repack/Hazmat. Other activities may be performed based on business needs.
  • Operate forklifts, including stand-up, reach, or sit-down models.
  • Complete all paperwork and system transactions per departmental procedures, including pick lists, labels, tagging, and customer placards.
  • Identify and communicate issues to supervisors.
  • Attend shift and team meetings; suggest process improvements.
  • Perform general duties such as sanitation and battery changing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license through McCormick.
  • Ability to work in environments with spice dust, odors, noise, and vibration.
  • Ability to work in temperature-extreme conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds continually and 25-50 pounds frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with radio frequency terminals.
  • Basic computer skills.
