Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Distribution Tech to handle pick, pack and shipping of customer orders at our Indianapolis site. You will operate forklifts, RF scanners, and read picklists to ensure accurate order fulfillment, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role reports to the Shipping Supervisor within the Operations team and requires 2+ years shipping/receiving experience, Oracle and RF device familiarity, and strong organizational skills.

The Distribution Tech is responsible for:

• Pick, pack and shipping of customer orders.
• Operation of Powered Industrial Equipment to pick and put-away parts.
• Other duties relating to distribution of product including reading and picking orders based on a picklist, use of RF Devices and computers and attention to detail relating to picking of serial and lot numbers, and consolidation of large orders.

This position reports to the Shipping Supervisor and is part of the Operations team located in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Operate machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scan guns to safely load and unload trailers or move stock.
• Prepare bills of lading, verify receipts, pick, pack, weigh, and stage customer orders to meet daily productivity standards.
• Track, and replenish stock items, update t warehouse management systems (Oracle), and manage inventory.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School/GED Equivalency and 2+ years of shipping/receiving experience.
• Oracle, RF scanning device, and forklift experience preferred.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 45 lbs. without mechanical/lift assist and able to work within a team environment.
• Basic computer and inventory tracking skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Using machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks.
• Tracking stock via barcode scanners, RF devices.
• Understanding workplace safety protocols.
