Job summary

Friendsofkerhonkson is seeking a detail‑oriented Distribution Packer to prepare customer products for shipment. You will select appropriate packaging, assemble and seal boxes, and verify items against packing lists for accuracy while safeguarding product protection.

You will document shipments in our systems, assist with staging pallets, operate packing equipment safely, and communicate with supervisors to ensure on‑time orders.

Qualifications

• Carefully pack items according to guidelines, client specs, and product protection requirements.
• Select appropriate packaging materials based on product type, size, fragility, and safety.
• Assemble, seal, and label packages using tape, labels, and other tools.
• Verify quantities and details against packing lists and orders for accuracy.
• Accurately label packages with product, client, and shipping information.
• Process and document shipments in company systems as required.
• Assist with staging pallets and shipments for outbound distribution.
• Operate packaging and material handling equipment safely.
• Communicate with supervisors and teams to complete orders on time.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe working conditions per OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for carefully packing custom-designed products, verifying product accuracy, labeling correctly, and preparing shipments in a timely manner.
