Position Overview

This role will be a key player in supporting and optimizing a variety of critical business applications used for asset management, geographic information systems (GIS), and distribution system modeling within our distribution operations team. The ideal candidate is a highly technical and analytical problem-solver who can support multiple systems and applications as needed.

You will be responsible for providing technical support, collaborating with both vendors and internal teams, and leading enhancement projects for various applications. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our engineering and distribution support teams have the tools they need to maintain grid reliability and asset data integrity.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of MAXIMO and GIS systems and be able to provide exceptional support and guidance to our teams. Additionally, the candidate will support the CYME application, ensuring accurate network modeling and efficient operations, and partner with team members in supporting other asset management applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for MAXIMO, GIS, CYME [MS1] , and other operational applications, ensuring seamless availability.
  • Analyze application performance metrics, data integrity, and user feedback to identify and implement areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors and technology partners, on system enhancements, new releases, and integration projects.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to improve end-user proficiency with asset management and mapping tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for multiple distribution technology platforms, offering guidance and support to end-users and leadership.
  • Stay current with new technology and updates in relevant systems, ensuring the team is informed and trained accordingly.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across multiple applications.
  • Experience in a technical support, analyst, or specialist role, with a focus on enterprise-level applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical users.
  • Experience in developing and conducting training sessions or creating support documentation.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience supporting applications in the energy or utility sector, particularly within distribution operations.
  • Familiarity with Asset Management (MAXIMO), GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and/or Distribution System Modeling (CYME) applications.
  • Experience with process optimization and driving efficiency through technology solutions.
