Salary Range: $88,400 - $140,000

Work Location Category: Onsite

Job Summary

This position involves working as part of the Distribution Technical Support Team, providing direct support to Gas Operations in construction, operation, and maintenance activities. The role requires ensuring work quality and safety compliance, maximizing system reliability through effective planning, and supporting teamwork to meet departmental goals. Additionally, developing bargaining unit personnel skills, supporting performance appraisals, and ensuring on-call coverage are key responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Expand knowledge of PSEG Gas Operations through training and on-the-job learning.
  • Oversee special projects involving technical, field personnel, manufacturers, and consultants.
  • Provide technical assistance with new programs and processes.
  • Support system activities and equipment failure analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards during inspections.
Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3-10 years of experience in gas distribution construction, operation, or maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Company/Union Agreement and MWMS.
  • Working knowledge of the Gas Distribution Standards Manual (GDS).
  • Must pass the First Line Supervisor's Test (FLST) unless currently supervising for at least 12 months.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record; ability to obtain/maintain a valid CDL license.
  • Safety-sensitive position; D.O.T. testing required.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills; results-oriented and adaptable.
  • Experience with gas facility construction, repair, material types, joining, purging, pressure regulation, and line tapping/stopping equipment.
