Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required (College degree not required).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn and maintain understanding of all equipment and computer systems.
  • Willing and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Goal-oriented and results-focused.

Job description

Distribution Supervisor – leads a team of partners in a dynamic manufacturing environment, coaching and motivating them to meet goals while ensuring compliance with operating policies, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Train, coach, evaluate and reinforce Process Excellence principles with partners.
  • Organize daily production, shipping, and receiving to maximize efficiencies, making adjustments as conditions change.
  • Administer company, plant, or department processes related to certification programs, pay systems, assessment, and feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans and customer requirements.
  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements to UDC FG/UDD Dry Goods/Bulk groups.
  • Encourage teamwork and adherence to Plant/DC policies and procedures.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, good housekeeping guidelines, and safety requirements, including wear of prescribed Personal Protective Equipment and compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain partner accountability and provide daily communication of essential information.
  • Lead efforts to meet or exceed productivity, quality, and safety goals.
  • Use problem‑solving methods and quality tools to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Plan production operations, set priorities, and monitor progress to meet customer needs.
  • Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance opportunities to maximize efficiencies at lowest cost.
  • Monitor training activities and ensure proper training paperwork is completed.
  • Assist with staffing decisions related to shipping/receiving schedules that meet customer requirements.
  • Work with leadership to identify and communicate customer requirements.
  • Understand and comply with government regulations such as OSHA, USDA, FDA, EPA, EEOC, OFCCP, etc.
  • Make decisions related to HACCP, product quality, HOLD & RELEASE, and other regulatory matters.
  • Assist with regulatory, customer, and internal audits.
  • Perform process checks for CPs, CCPs, QPs, and CQPs required for the position.
  • Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirement deviations.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required (College degree not required).
  • Future relocation preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn and maintain understanding of all equipment and computer systems.
  • Willing and able to manage multiple priorities.
