Job summary

nVent is seeking a hands-on Distribution Center leader to manage daily operations, improve flow, and drive Lean initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will supervise a team, coordinate hiring and training, and ensure safety and quality in the DC.

The role emphasizes process discipline and waste reduction across the logistics operation. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in distribution, proven leadership, and solid experience with Lean concepts.

Qualifications

  • Ideally 5+ years' distribution experience.
  • Ideally demonstrated ability in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Strong systems knowledge with JDE, AS400 or Oracle is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day production activities within Distribution Center
  • Supervise daily performance through the use of process center communication boards
  • Lead a team of warehouse employees assigned to the DC area including hiring, training, developing, leading performance, time and attendance, and handling progressive discipline
  • Assist with the development of current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans, as well as the implementation of those plans
  • Support new process and product development and implementation
  • Act as a change agent and drive out waste throughout the Logistics operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work
  • Assure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent’s safety programs

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

YOU HAVE:

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $62,900.00 - $116,900.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
